There are three statuses which your given offers can have:

Pending;

Awarded;

Rejected.
After you give quotes, they will be displayed in the system with "Pending" status by default. Pending status of your offers means that owner of the request did not make any decision regarding your offer yet. As soon as buyer awards the request, status of the offers will be changed for Awarded or Rejected. Usually when doing awarding buyers notify suppliers about their decision: there will be sent email notification from the system if offers are awarded or rejected. Still this is decision of the owner of the request, there can be switched on setting not to send notification about it. Anyway, even if the request is awarded and you have not been notified about awarding/rejection, you can always login the system and check status of your offers online.
