How to set up Column Visibility

Restrict access for suppliers to certain columns

Effective data management is essential in procurement, and controlling what information your suppliers can view is a crucial part of this process. With the column visibility functionality, you can limit the visibility of certain columns for suppliers, ensuring that sensitive or irrelevant information is kept private. You can update the visibility settings at any time to adapt to changing needs.

Here’s how you can manage column visibility for your suppliers:

  1. Navigate to the Items Tab: Open the 'Items' tab of your request where you need to adjust the column visibility.

  2. Select the Column: Identify the column for which you want to change visibility settings.

  3. Access Visibility Settings:

    • Click on the "building" icon located near the column header.

    • A modal window will appear, displaying a list of all invited suppliers.

  4. Adjust Supplier Access:

    • In the modal window, you can unselect the suppliers who should not have access to the column.

    • By default, all invited suppliers are preselected to view the column.

  5. Save Changes: Confirm your selections to update the visibility settings. The deselected suppliers will no longer see the column you have restricted.

This functionality allows you to tailor the information each supplier can access, enhancing data security and relevance. Adjusting column visibility ensures that suppliers only see what is necessary for their participation, streamlining the procurement process and protecting sensitive information.
